About the event

We are so excited to welcome Kawá Huni Kuin (Kaxinawá) and his sister Bimi back to Manchester Yoga Central. Kawá and his sister Bimi are paje (healers) from the Amazon rainforest and musicians, delivering the ancient songs chants and ceremonies from their ancestors. These songs connect you to the protective spirits and the nature of the Amazon.

We invite you to a magical & mystical afternoon of connecting to Huni Kuin culture & spirituality.  Come share this precious & rare opportunity to open our hearts with the medicine of Rapéh ("hapé") & sacred healing chants of the Amazon rainforest!

The Huni Kuin (Kaxinawá) are an ethnic group based in the lowland Amazon in the state of Acre, Brazil. They speak their own language called Hantxa Kuin & have a longstanding tradition of working with medicines of the rainforest. The Huni Kuin songs are ancient prayers invoking the forces of spirits of the forest & the sacred medicines, bringing physical, emotional & spiritual healing. Singing & listening to these ancient prayers lifts our frequency and manifests healing, transformation & joy.
